  • i enjoy switching from msnbc to fox and back, to see how many contradictory exaggerations my mind can handle in one evening. to read something "fair and balanced" i read the economist from great britain, which, in my opinion, probably offers greater honesty than any american media.
  • TV media all worship at the altar of the almighty dollar so you can't accept at face value anything any of them tell you.
  • Our media used to be hundreds of independent companies often serving a single community. They did a pretty good job of printing honest news. Today, the media is dominated by a handful of huge multinational companies. Instead of all the news that's fit to print, we are treated to all the news that might boost those company's bottom lines. The real story is out there still. But we now have to be sophisticated in filtering all the corporatist BS out in order to obtain a clear picture.
  • look, thats just one of the double bladed swords of capitalism, if you own a network, you can, within reason, decide what gets aired and what doesn't, if you wanna see the other side, watch another network
