its about the greek spartans who fight against the persians over earth and water. the persians try to take over and the spartans will do whatever it takes to save their land, families, and so on. the persians want to do away with all the spartan men and use the women, children and elders as slaves. its a really good movie. here is more info for you also. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/300_%28film%29

Well, it's based on a graphic novel by Frank Miller, that's based around the Battle of Thermopylae. Basically 300 Spartan soldiers and like 700 Thespians duked it out with 1+ million of Xerxes armies. It's a really cool movie.

It's technically about the Battle of Thermopylae, but it has a fantasy twist. It's very dynamic, especially in the lighting and the skies, since it's more or less a moving version of the graphic novel. I just got back from it, and I can tell you, it's made of pure win.

G'day Ashleeeeee, Thank you for your question. 300 is a film adaptation of Frank Miller's graphic novel about the Battle of Thermopylae. In the battle of Thermopylae in 480BC, 300 Spartans under the leadership of King Leonidas fight to the last man against the Persians under King Xerxes with a much greater forceto buy time for the Greeks to prepare. In the naval Battle of Salamis and the Battle of Plataea the Greeks managed to defeat the larger Persian forces. I have attached sources for your reference.
