Vegetable truck. Then kids wouldn't be begging money from their parents all the time.

Ice cream truck, because although in an ideal world kids would actually buy stuff from a veggie truck and not complain about being given healthy food, in this world ice cream trucks are a good suburban entrepreneurial business and a fond nostalgic memory for almost every generation. Besides, most only come around once a week.

You might laugh, but I lived in a neighborhood (and at a time) when both occurred, at least where we lived in the summers. And the vegetable truck was pretty neat: He had all kinds of great veggies -- and fruits! -- packed in attractive arrangements. We kids used to go out with Mom to see what was on offer and looked good, and she would always buy us green grapes, cantaloupes, watermelon, honeydew melon, peaches and apricots, oranges, plums and whatever else looked good. Fruit flies loved our house. The ice cream truck attracted all of the kids in the neighborhood, though, and not just us weird ones. The bread man had nice stuff, too. So did the milkman, I suppose, but he came too damn early to suit me.

We have both. However technically the ice cream truck is the only that goes around the neighborhood. The vegetable truck is parked downtown and you have to go to it. I have bought from the vegetable vendor but never the ice cream vendor. But that is due to my age. Ice cream trucks tend to be more for children.

No contest! Ice Cream, of course. The kids are expecting ice cream, not vegetables.

Both would be convenient at times. I seem to need fresh vegetables more often than ice cream.
