  • Any lie can bounce back to the lier. The worst that can happen is building one lie onto another.
  • Lies are harmful if they make one person draw an incorrect conclusion and thus make an incorrect decision. White lies seem to be used to spare another persons feelings or to compliment them. In that context, where no decision about action is involved, I do not really see a problem.
  • Ever hear the saying that one mans trash is another mans treasure? One rich man puts a 50" screen tv to the curb cause it doesn't work. The not-so-rich man picks that tv up, fixes it, and now he has 1 giant screen tv at his disposal, whether to keep, or to sell for profit. Lies, even white lies, may seem like a white lie to the person lying...but whom it effects may feel otherwise. So what may seem harmless to one person, might be quite devastating to another.
  • I believe so. I lie is a lie, they still hurt all the same.
