Some would consider your question argumentative...
It takes all kinds to make an answerbag
I just try to ignore them and and if they keep going on in the comments, I'll just hit unsubscribe. There are a few people that I've noticed that just like to try to be sh*t stirrers.
Some people just like to argue or debate. Ignore them if you don't like their argument. +5
Sometimes arguments happen.Sometimes people misunderstand each other's intentions. The truth and speaking of mind is often misinterpreted as starting trouble, when not intended.I've been accused of it many times.*+++++*
How right you are. You should definitely find such people and post answers arguing with them. :)
you mean "fight", there's nothing wrong with arguing.
you can't expect everyone to agree, and debate is always good.
.
it's when an argument becomes a fight that people;s time is being wasted.
.
unfortunately this isn't very rare....
When you have a group as large as AB there are going to be that many opinions on whatever question is asked. Giving different ways to view a question you have that many ways to answer. It can be viewed as arguing but I see it as open debate each "bagger" airing their various points of view. Some have been most informative, at times some have been outragously wild in thought and theory. But all in all most know the ones that are here for the damning of the mass populace for not thinking like them and in that case just do as I do: Hop over them, giving them a wink and keep on going to the next question that peaks your interest!

Take care ya'll I do wish ya well :O)
Often, the phrasing of the question or the choice of topic can encourage argumentive answers. Questions on religion & politics usually lead to arguementive answers, as do questions that make have implied assumptions, such as "why can't my wife cook a decent meal.", implying that all women should automatically know how to cook, or "How can an athiest be a happy person". If your question has a bias built into it, expect an arguement. I'm not saying not to ask such questions, just don't act shocked when someone disagrees or wants to agrue about it.
I think it depends on the question. Some questions deserve an argument and then there are those that argue for the fun of it. :) I have to say that I have received wonderful answers from my AB family and I also have received answers from folks that just seem ignorant with their comments. I didn't get on AB to argue with anyone so I tend to ignore the argumentative folks and definitely thank the folks whose advice has been extremely helpful to me. My mom always said to me that silence to arguments and ignorance is a big communicator. When you don't answer back to ignorance it speaks volumes. :)
Why am I not allowed to answer comments to my own question even though I am not in penalty box? More people have this problem?

Do those who insult the Question/Questioner realize they are also insulting those who answer the question sincerely? Or are they clueless?
