Totally. The first one is the most important and is reiterate by Christ when He gives us the Great Commandment to Love God and Love Thy Neighbour as Thyself. Jesus also expands on the meanings of some of the 10 commandments; for example not to go to bed angry at your brother and try to reconcile yourself to him before sun down, this being an expansion of the commandment not to kill. I will say that following the 10 commandments cannot be done by your own efforts. We need His Holy Spirit to intercede and guide us. Furthermore we need to keep reading the scriptures more to understand God and know Him more. In doing so we are more likely to obey Him and hence be more holy. Hope this helps

Yes I do. Most of the Ten commandents are rules that are quite necessary to live a civilized life. Most are rules that are enforced secularly.
