Did Venice exist in Roman times?

Yes it did =) I am not sure if they are 100% certain of the day it was founded, or if it is just speculation/legend. The day they have for it being officially founded was in Roman times. The town would have existed before then in some form too I imagine.

If you mean during the time of the Ancient Roman Empire, yes. In the latter part of Classical Antiquity , when the Germanic tribes were invading southern European territories, refugees from many Roman cities found places to settle that were previously considered uninhabitable, such as the lagoons where Venice now stands.
