Honesty Loyalty Sense of humor High morals and ethics Intelligence Common Sense Compassion Emotional stability Good verbal skills (communicative) Because these traits are what I feel make for a good friend, a good marital or relationship partner, or a good working relationship associate. If a person has these qualities and traits, they will be fun and easy to be around, and if not, they will be able and willing to talk things out with me.

I like someone who can laugh at anything. I'm getting tired of only meeting people who get mad when I make a joke about rape. I don't like the pressure of having to be politcially correct.

All relationships are built on trust, so I would say that honesty would rank as the top quality. Other include friendliness, intelligence, and loyalty.

That their word is good. If someone tells me that they are going to do something I can consider it will be done and move on to other things. I don't want to come in and hear excuses. I am not paying anyone for excuses.

-Honesty. -Empathy. -Compassion. -A healthy sense of emotional expression. Outside of that, it doesn't matter much to me. If someone has all (Or even just most) of those traits, I'm probably going to like them. That first one is essential though.

Honesty. I just hate people that think they have to make stories to light things up. Life has enough of everything to spice conversations without the need of misguided creativity.

I look for honesty, a sense of humor and open mindedness. Honesty for obvious reasons, a sense of humor because one can not be serious all the time, and open mindedness because not only to try new things, but to be open to new life experiences.
