I have received an email from "Mrs Angela C Elvis. Awards Notification Officer @ Yahoo Internet Awards 2009. Stating that I have won £800,000. Is this genuine?? I doubt IT.

Short answer - NO! The chance would be a fine thing, I'm sure! =) As with all such scams from supposed reputable banks/internet servers/domains. If you have any questions you should always ask the organisation or business directly. If you have not heard of the organisation, hand over no money. Actually, never hand over any money full stop.

I get these, in one form or another, 3 or 4 times a week. Most of them require a "small fee" to release funds. I have also "won" countless sweepstakes that I never entered and seem to have several "benefactors" in Nigeria. lol It's a scam.
