I think its mostly to protect their own privacy and they don't want the outside world to know who they really are.
A lot of people will set their profiles/pictures to private because they may only want people they know for friends. Pretty much its no one else's business.
Sometimes the weird names/sayings are also a way of expressing their true feelings about someone or something. Females can be very emotional about things.

That's a good question. I myself have a myspace nd my profile is also set to private. When allowing your personal information and photos to be on the in internet you have to remember that you are posting your information on a worldwide database. Setting your profile to private minimizes the chances of your profile being hacked for you photos or information.
If you send someone a friend request on myspace and your profile is private can they view it while the request is pending?

You're reading Why is it girls on Myspace,put nasty pictures on there avater and a nasty comment about theirselves,like I'm a bad ass ,get over it,then put there photos or profile on private?(seems opposite of what they are claiming about themselves).
