Because everyone is so wrapped up in their own pain that they often don't have the strength to have a look at someone else's. Sit in a park one day, and watch people. It seems peaceful, doesn't it? It isn't. Sometimes, my life sucks beyond the telling of it. I CAN'T carry another person's weight, even when I want to. The only difference between myself and criminals is that I haven't yet lost hope. +5
