I don't understand why people do it. I thought the point of a family was just to create a couple kids to love and provide for. Having more than that just seems strange and I think the people that do it have some other motive other than the basic ones.

I think as long as you have the resources, the time, and a strong family unit then why not?!?

how many children a couple should have is entirely personal. however, no one should have more children than they can feed, clothe, shelter, nurture and educate.

If I were financially able to support six I would but unfortuately three is enough. My oldest is in college and trust me it is not easy. But fortuately I paced my self and there is 5+ years in age differnce

My mother came from a large family(five kids), she had a large family(5 kids but one died)... so I came from a large family. I don't personally want a large family. I think as long as the kids are well taken care of and loved, that there's nothing wrong with it at all? To each their own. I'm pregnant with my first and I hope my last... but, perhaps I'll adopt one more.
