there's still one in my town, but Wal Mart has taken over for the most part.

It's still alive and kicking in Phoenix.

They went bankrupt and Sears bought them. There are still a few around for however much longer.

bought by sears; we still have one in our town, but since Wal-Mart is going to build a super store in the next block, I'll imagine we'll be burying the K-mart.
