  • If you took a pic, I could photoshop some different colors on the walls for you.
  • How about a nice light gray/blue. We painted ours that color several years ago and have been very happy with it. It's kinda like the color of the search for members box with a little blue in it.
  • Not knowing your tastes or where in the country you are, or what your house is like, it's kind of hard to say, but there are some contemporary colors that are unusual that are really quite nice, including a green gray that doesn't sound as nice as it looks. It is very calming and seems... expensive. There's also a South-western type adobe color, amber with a touch of pink... that's quite lovely. I'd ask the SENIOR clerk or manager at a paint store about what colors are popular for living rooms.
  • It depends if you're keeping your old furniture etc or redecorating the whole room. A pale apricot or blue is nice and relaxing. Another option is to paint the rest of the room a nondescript white or cream and then have one main feature wall, either using a special effect (like sponge or feather effect), a metallic paint or even do a mural if you're into art or have a friend that is.
  • Oh dear. I often find people who don't like white walls find solace in ugly varieties of green, pink and orange.
