  • If you would of used the turkey bacon like I suggested........none of this would be happening!
  • scotch guard pad white vinegar and baking soda.
  • Baking soda and Vinegar should rid you of the smokey blues! Place a generous amount of Baking soda over the spots, take a rag you don't mind using and cover it with the Vinegar. Place the Vinegar soaked rag OVER the baking soda. It probably will start to foam up some. Shut the oven door and let it soak for at least 15 to 30 minutes. Use a scrubby to scour it, it shouldn't take much scrubbing to be honest, use another rag to rinse it all the way clean of your Baking soda and vinegar combo...the problem should be solved and with very eco friendly products!
  • Put a cup of household ammonia in the oven(warm, then turn off). Leave overnight. Wash in the morning with a sponge and strong soapy solution-or the ammonia if you can handle it. If the oven is self cleaning, I would avoid any abrasive cleaners, -steel wool, scotch brite, etc. If not self cleaning, don't worry about it.
  • You DON'T want to use anything abrasive. That will mess up the finish in your oven. Use a strong, grease cutting detergent, like dawn, in hot water. Soak the grease spot for a while and wipe out. Afterwards, you can put your oven on self clean (follow the directions for your oven). This uses extremely high heat to essentially turn everything baked onto the surfaces of your oven to ash, which you can wipe out when the self cleaning cycle has completed and the coven has cooled down.
