I like the idea of having one small cake (for the bride and groom to cut) surrounded by cup cakes for the guest. That way you can also have a large variety of flavors available. +4

I don't like it. I've always had this image in my head of my wedding, and I want a large yummy cake of my choosing. I like tradition :) +3

Absolutely! TBH - I had a cake at my wedding, but it was only for "tradition's" sake. My husband doesn't even like cake, and I would have been MUCH happier with something like... I don't know... pumpkin pies. My family threw a whiny fit, though, and I got the damned cake. Funny thing is, most of the whiners didn't even stay for the reception. Anyway, long story short, do what YOU like! Screw everyone else!
