If you had a choice to live in Hawaii or California, which one would you chose and why?

I would choose Hawaii.I had lived in California for 5 years,and Hawaii is much more laid back.The island appeals to me and one is closer to Asia and Australia for visits. The coral reef and constant warm waters are great.

california. hawaai is too commercial...wait, i can't believe i actually thought/typed that...as if california wasn't?? haha...being california is my home state, i guess i'm biased. :]

Hawaii is great, but too pricey, and way too touristy. Don't get me wrong, foreign girls, in Bikini's are amazing, but too much drama to deal with on a daily basis. CA is home, and home is where the weed is. Puff puff pass, Cali style.

If I am retired I would cjoose Hawaii over California. Reason being, I don't believe anyone should work if they live in Hawaii. Hawaii is for relaxing.

hawaii probably just because the grass seems greener on the other side and I have been put in a state of depression by California's "help"

If I had a choice I would live in California because I don't like the idea of being on this huge rock in the middle of the Pacific. I feel as if the ocean will swallow me up at anytime. We live in Hawaii. It's been almost two years and I'm ready to move back to Cali. I do agree it's laid back but the tourist stuff I can certainly live without.
