Mahatma Gandhi was right in saying that. Afterall he tried his best to stop India from getting cut up into three pieces by religion after all his non-violent efforts to get freedom. Only people didn't understand what he said then. I suspect many do not understand his words even today. . Also we must remember that Jesus Christ was not a Christian and Gautama Buddha was not a Buddist!
