no way, my best friend has moosy he has it.........sigh .

My niece had a cat with it - it's real enough although I don't know how common it is - I have had a house full of cats for years and never had any come down with it. Ask another vet for their opinion.

If your cat goes outside at all, where it could come in contact with other cats, or cat feces, the shot is well worth the money you will save in vet bills to keep the cat alive, should it contract the disease.

Feline Leukemia is a hard way for a cat to die & tough on the owner as well. It's worth the cost of vaccination.

I'd get their first shots for it if the cat wanders outside but don't bother repeating the shots. It's not necessary. We've had adopted cats with it and it's a terrible way to die, but the other cats never developed it and were fine, even without shots.

well http://www.leukemiasymptoms.org is the leading cause of cat deaths and it is also contagious. So yes, vaccination might be a good idea.
