The first time I heard it was listening to Robbie Williams 'Sexed Up' - I think it's quite a good saying, never used it myself though :-)

This is true to the core. Silence is a beautiful thing to have in life in many situations. It can save lives.

It is a old war quote reminding the troops getting sent overseas not to even tell loved ones where they were going nor what ship it was going to be on for fear eniemy spies would overhear someone talking about it and report it back to their Intelligence network BUT that was before all the tracking tools we have today .
