Un fortunately, people do fall for it. They are probably send to millions of people and most just dump it right away. Those few who answer, however, wind up losing a good bit to it with little or no recourse.

I received similar letters from the head of some financial organization in Nigeria. I can't believe anyone would actually fall that nonsense.

I get them from a 'doctor' in England, too!

I have received so many variation of the same bull***t stories... I saw on TV a report about so many people who have lost hundreds of thousands of dollars in those kind of schemes. How naive can you be when you receive and e-mail from someone who doesn't have an idea of who you are "trusting" you hundreds of thousands of dollars...PT Barnum was right....

Like anything else, if an offer seems too good to be true, it usually is.

I receive them by email, fax at work and recently letters mailed to my home. I too hope no one is falling for this.
