  • Well since banks will fail, governments will topple, cities will burn to the ground and the very institutions of higher learning will be at best used as military bases for those urban survivalists. You can pretty much be certain that Sallie Mae will be still fully operational and demanding their monies and still charging interest each month. So yeah, even though the whole world is in ruins, you will still need to keep up those student loan payments. Good luck on consolidation them, even if nothing does happen in 2012, consolidation of a Sallie Mae loan is about as rare as a duckbill platypus. LOL ;-)
