Most implies 51%, so I would say no. I am always very aware of how someone speaks. My guess would be maybe 15%-20%.

I think when people get nervous it is very possible, whether a stutter a stoppage etc....so, as I feel most all of us get nervous at times + the people who definitely have a speech impediment..yes...

I had one myself as a kid,and I think it was down to being nervous.I know lots of people who have a slight stutter,and its usually when they get too excited during a conversation.

Impediment, no, not most people. Many have a regional dialect different from maybe mine or yours.

NO, most people do not have a slight speech impediment. If they did it would be considered normal speech and therefore not an impediment.

No, I think most people have normal speech and a small minority have impediments. I agree with the respondents who say regional dialects and accents may account for your believing in widespread speech impediments.
