  • That depends a bit on what you do. If you do a lot of gaming or multimedia editing then the RAM might be a better choice. After all, it's easy to hook up an external hard drive if you run out of space than it is to get by with too little RAM However, if you mostly just *watch* movies and don't do stuff like retouch 5-megapixel images in Photoshop then go with the bigger hard drive. 2GB is more than adequate for most tasks, especially if you are not running Windows. Personally, I do quite a bit of heavy-duty stuff like transcoding and all and I still get by just fine with a mere 2GB of RAM on my tower which is rapidly running out of drive space. Then again, I would never do stuff like that on my laptop as I never intended for my little luggable to replace my tower either.
