Judging from all the cheating (and divorces) that occur in the USA, my guess is that the majority are probably unhappy because of the SAMENESS of the other person. It is very difficult to get excited with the same person after 20 or 30 years of having them, unless that person is very "inventive" and "creative" so that their S/O maintains their high level of interest, and that's not at all easy to do. It is NORMAL to become slightly bored, once the "newness" wears off of a relationship, and it's also very sad when that happens. It has nothing at all to do with love, nor the lack of it. It has to do with monotony and repetition. That explains why so many couples are into "wife-swapping." +5
