Politicians haven't paid much attention to the constitution anyways, so why would this particular allegation or claim matter?
-
There seems to be a lot of unanswered questions about him. His birth place is still one of them.
-
It's irrelevant because his Mother is American so what does it matter anyway?
-
He is not american by birth
-
Will you birthers ever go away? He could have been born on the moon and he would still be an American citizen by virtue of his mothers citizenship. This is a non-issue....smarten up and get over it!
-
No, he was born in Kenya. His grandmother says she saw it with her own eyes. His father was a citizen of Kenya, making him ineligible for the presidency. He claims to have been born in Hawaii, but there is no birth certificate to verify this, and as Hawaii had been a state 2 years I'm pretty sure he would have gotten one.

So - now what? Several have decided. If they just get others that matter do go along this could all be straightened out in no time. Or they can just continue to bring it up for the heck of it. +5

You know, I really don't see how it matters, since he IS the elected President. What are we going to do? Kick him out and put Joe BIDEN in his place????? We're probably better off as is. But it is interesting how the Media seems hellbent on protecting him no matter what. This just came up yesterday: http://www.examiner.com/x-14129-Grand-Rapids-Ron-Paul-Examiner~y2009m7d23-NBC-lies-about-Obamas-birth-certificate-and-elligibility-to-be-President

This is not a question.
-
If he was, then there is no reasonable reason not to show his birth certificate or any of the other documents he is hiding for some asinine reason. If for some reason the document was lost, or destroyed, or never was created in the first place, then somebody's got so 'splainin' to do.
-
Yes. His birth certificate is posted online. http://www.factcheck.org/elections-2008/born_in_the_usa.html I cannot imagine what more proof people would want. You can click on the left to see tons of photos of it from any angle to see the raised seal etc.

I say so.

I don't know about other American moms, but I know when I was pregnant with both of my children the urge was overwhelming to go to a country where I had a 50/50 chance of being able to communicate with the doctors, where I would be turned away from hospitals if I didn't have a deposit ready on hand when my water broke, and where even if I did have the deposit and get in I would be dealing with the country that had one of the highest maternal death rates in the world. If you're about to be saddled with a baby might as well have one last adventure! Honestly, why do people think an educated woman from the Midwest would go to a different country during that uncomfortable last month to have a child?
-
I don't care if he was or not, he's still destroying my country.

He was born in Hawaii. When this controversy first erupted back in the primaries, he produced a valid Honolulu birth certificate, which is still posted online. Of course, with conspiracy theorists, any proof only proves the conspiracy. The certificate was immediately dismissed as a fraud and a forgery. Interestingly, the Honolulu newspaper carried the birth announcement. So if we are to believe the Birthers, the conspiracy is a lulu of a conspiracy. The cheaters somehow knew this guy would become president 48 years later and so they flew from Indonesia or Kenya or where ever the particular birther thinks he was REALLY born and ran the birth announcement in Hawaii back in 1961 just to provide cover. Anybody that believes such drivel is showing what a pathetic credulity for right-wing delusions.
