I didn't really care before, but after a prostate exam by a young female doctor I must say that I thought it was pretty demeaning. I'm only 21 so my oppinion may change, but I find it difficult to accept that usual saying about them seeing it all before and its just a job. Not that I'm saying they are aroused by the act. female. i've had both, having a male doctor touching my penis was extremely awkward and uncomfortable. my wife was in the room when i had the female doctor examine me and even still it was not nearly the same, maybe a 1/10 for the female with wife present, 8/10 for the male in terms of awkwardness.

Having been in the military and having been examined by both genders, I can honestly say I am uncomfortable with all military doctors. My current Primary Care Physician is male and roughly my age.

Well I am very modest and have a very attractive female doctor. I always managed to avoid a genital exam from her. It was my biggest fear every time I had a doctors Appointment. A few years ago I got really sick to the point of being in a semi conscious state. I just visited my family doctor and she seen the severity of my condition and called ambulance. Before the ambulance arrived she had done hooked me up to IV and inserted catheter. I was so sick I didn't care what they done. from that point on I have lost the modesty. She has examined me since.

In the German Army I remember it was always the same ritual. Hundreds of young men, as we all were drafted, had to show up for medical and pschological examination. In big buildings we had to wait competely nude on very long corridors in arow only with a little paper in our hands and permanently young girls and women who worked for the medical service were walking up and down those long corridors with an amused smile. I felt as many other young guys just like on a slave market for women. It was windy and cold on that corridors and when you finally came into the examniation room there were at least 2 or three women and some were not older as we were and mostly they had women as doctors. Sometimes older women who were not quite beautiful but they were not very friendly but they were doing their examination like veterinarians or butchers and they enjoyed to see us young guys completely nude. Then we had to pass to the nrextz examination room to the next and I finally was glad to see a military doctor and orderly soldiers. As far as I learned the army paid to female medicals good pay for this job and mostly female doctors who had not much to do overtook this job. We could not defend because all around there were the MPs. I found it degrading as a citizen of a free country and for me it was an extreme attack to my dignity to see when women ad girls were giggling by watching us.

I have had really excellent doctors of both sexes, but in all honesty, I prefer female doctors. Mostly because they will talk WITH me and I sometimes get the feeling that male doctors talk AT me. Modesty or Desperate NO My doctors, and her staff, are professional and modesty should not be an issue at all. I went to a skin doctor because I had a cancer and needed to have it taken care of. I go to a massage therapist because I have diabetes and this helps with circulation in my legs. Also this was very helpful in recovery after the cancer was cut out. My recovery was amazing to the skin doctor. Cancer was on my back at the lower shoulder level and the surgery involved a lot of cutting. Massage helped in recovery and took the original size; my wife said the size was equal to half of her fist to a barely noticeable indentation now. Getting medical help should never be hampered by modesty. When choice is modesty or mortality chose your life and the quality of your life every time.
