It's very common here in the Philippines to receive phone text spam that you have won 1,000,000 pesos (about $20,000). All contests like this must have a government registration number and the spam always has that. It's believable the first time, then you understand it's a prank.

I don't text so no...I just hit people when there not looking then blame it on the quiet guy...no one ever quite trusts the quiet guy.
