You're reading I have Windows Vista Home Premium Service Pack 1 and auto-update keeps offering to install Window Vista Service Pack 2 (KB948465) but it keeps failing to install with error code 80073718. How do I install this update? Please.
Comments
No it is incorrect; I mistook B for an 8. The error code is 8007371B. Thank you for answering and sorry that I took so long comment but I had to re-attempt installation to verify the error code.

If it's any comfort, you're not alone, lots of chatter on this one. But there doesn't appear to be a definitive answer. Here's how one guy fixed it, if you can decipher what he's talking about:
http://www.vistaheads.com/forums/microsoft-public-windowsupdate/183233-re-windows-update-error-8007371b.html
And then there is something called the Update Readiness Tool for Vista where your error is listed and some download links for various Vista flavors:

Sorry I couldn't be more help, but I don't run Vista. Good luck!
