  • It sounds very much like PP. A lot of women feel ashamed and unnatural when they start experiencing these types of symptoms and it prevents them from seeking help. That is the saddest part.. because it is a very natural thing to go through and yet some see it as a horrible thing like they are a bad person.. that is not true. What you are experiencing is NORMAL! There is nothing wrong with you or going on with you right now that is not natural. It can hit some women very hard and some it can hit just a little. See your doctor and let them know.. do not avoid going because you feel you can get a handle on it or that you will look bad going. You will not. Brooke Shields said it best when she was describing how it was just a little anxiety.. then it turned into major mood swings of highs and lows.. she did a great service to women when she put her own experience out there. She delayed getting help at first because she worried something was wrong with her to be feeling such things but was so relieved after she got help because they helped her understand the toll childbirth takes .. especially on todays women. Your body has went through a major thing.. while we are expected to give birth.. it does take its toll and usually after things have settled a bit.. that is why many women do not seek help. They expect to go through these things while pregnant but it does not usually work that way. Your mind takes a whole new road.. the worry over your child.. providing for them, doing right by them.. the list goes on. Getting medical attention and advice right now is best for you and your family. Good luck and it will get better!
