  • Yes. Speak with your doctor immediately for suggestions and/or a referral to a counselor.
  • You're already "not safe" mentally or physically if you're doing this stuff. Get a hobby. If you didn't want help or attention, you wouldn't post it on here.
  • There is no way to be bulimic "safely". Just think, to stay skinny doing this, you cannot stop or you will gain weight very quickly. The real way to stay thin and healthy is to eat in moderation and choose healthy foods. Try a low calorie diet. Making yourself throw-up may work for a short amount of time, but you are basically saying that you're going to slowly starve yourself to death.
  • Drink a large glass of milk 1 hour before vomiting. That will help you a lot methinks.
  • The latest studies I have seen have shown that bulimic women do not lose weight within a 3 month period. Your fingers will hurt, your stomach may burn, your esophagus may burn and you will be malnourished, plus stink. Your social life may begin to dwindle. My daughter had a temporary roommate who was bulimic. She ate my daughter's entire birthday cake before the other roommates could give it to her PLUS my daughter saw remnants in the toilet. It was so gross. Take care. +3
  • There is no way to be bulemic safely, trust me. I was you eight years ago and after two years of recovery from what rapidly turned into a dangerous form of bulemia and eventually anorexia, I beg you to reconsider. Imagine waking up every morning too sore to move, finally climbing out of bed only to pass out three time on your way to the alarm clock and finding yourself nearly paralized in a dizzy painful trance like state on the floor unable to call for help. For me, and that was just the beginnig. Please, I am crying out for you, please reconsider.
  • Bulimia is an eating disorder where a person overeats when emotionally upset and then eliminates the food and calories ingested during binge eating through a self-induced vomiting. So it is very important to understand that bulimia is a dangerous eating disorder that can prove fatal if left untreated. Which is why, I think it’s vital for you to seek some professional help as soon as possible. Visit http://www.eatingdisorderclinic.org/bulimia-nervosa-treatment.html?utm_source=answerbag&utm_medium=ru&utm_campaign=bulimianervosatreatment to know more about bulimia and find a treatment center. All the best!
  • Mix fresh orange and milk together. Or warm a glass of water and lots of salt in the microwave and down it before. Or it might even work if you think about something really stressful and just close your eyes and concentrate on that
  • Perhaps this entry I read on another web site will help; YES! Bulimia is extremely dangerous! I know from experience. I was bulimic and anorexic for a little over 5 years. It started when I was 13. Trust me, hon, you don't want to go down that road. It's a really hard and long path. Eventually you will start throwing up blood, your hair will fall out, your skin will become so dry that even the most amounts of moisturizer won't work, your throat and stomach will hurt all of the time. You may get burst blood vessels in your eyes and face, your heart will have tons of problems, and you will be tired all of the time. The list goes on and on, and that's only the physical stuff. Eventually, when people find out, you'll have to go to doctors, therapists, nutritionists, psychiatrists, and maybe even hospitals every week. You will have no life because the eating disorder will take it over, and if it doesn't do that, all of those appointments will. Not to mention, you will be no fun anymore because you will be irritable all of the time. There's more, but it will take me hours to write down everything the eating disorder will take from you, there are so many. Eating disorders are not fun. They only hurt you in the end. I learned that the hard way. I know how you feel (even though you might not believe that, I do). Bulimia is the hardest eating disorder because it is the least understood. I had it for over 5 years, have been to four different hospitals (one I stayed in for almost a year and wasn't allowed any visits from family or friends, they couldn't even call but once a week!), and lost everything. I'm proud to say that I have been doing well for almost a year now. Listen, try to pick yourself up. Go to a counselor that you trust. Tell him/her EVERYTHING. He/She will help you. It's going to be hard and long, but you can do it. Good luck!
  • If you don't want help, why are you discussing the problem. If your stomach, esophagus, throat and mouth were designed to be puked into all of the time, you would be safe as a matter of course. Since they are not, you are damaging yourself, and thus you cannot be safe. Risks are heart attack, pneumonia, kidney disease, cancer of esophagus- airway- tongue, tooth erosion, other neurotic behaviours, and social problems related to bad breath. Since you do not want help, I will offer good luck wishes.
  • You aren't "turning bulimic". You are deliberately choosing to become bulimic. A very big mistake. There is no way to be "safe" while playing Russian roulette, and that is what you are doing.
  • There is no "safe" way to be bulimic. It is completely unhealthy. If someone is going to give you tips on how to be a "safe bulimic", shame on them, because it is not possible.
  • WEll...the human body wasn't really designed to regurgitate our food. There's NO safe way to continually binge and purge in this manner. At the least you end up with a bleeding ulcer, a hiatal hernia, acid reflux and even damage to your teeth and voice from stomach acid. Worse case scenario you get diabetes, atherosclerosis, kidney, liver and colon damage/failure and a whole laundry list of other side effects...I won't even go into the psychological issues.
