Get a life. He won. McCain lost. The birth certificate/certificate of live birth is official and filed in Honolulu. There was also a birth announcement in the local newspaper. Isn't it curious to you that there are tons of Google hits on the Obama Birth Certificate conspiracy, but they are all right-wing echo chamber sites? No credible news organization is covering this nonsense.

Barack Obama produced a "Certification of Live Birth". I have no clue what that is! My "Birth Certificate" says "Birth Certificate" across the top.

The difference is whether the state you were born in calls it a birth certificate or a certificate of live birth. There is no difference between the two legally. There is no nation-wide law on this. Vital statistics registries are operated and regulated by individual states -- and they make their own decisions regarding terminology. Hawai'i doesn't call them "birth certificates." It calls them "certifications of live birth," so that is what the President produced. The folks who are demanding that he produce a "birth certificate" that's actually called that, as opposed to a "certificate of live birth" (which legally is exactly the same thing), are engaging in the equivalent of demanding that I tell them what county I was born in. I wasn't born in a county. I was born in a parish -- Orleans Parish, Louisiana, to be precise. But nobody questions that or thinks there's any problem with it. Of course, my first and last names are Anglo-Saxon and German and I'm White. So that kind of gives me a pass on BS like this.
