  • Those who are descended from the original Mormon Pioneers.
  • I don't know that I have ever heard of an "ethnic mormon". The Church has grown so big and into so many countries that I really don't think that one could give a meaningful answer to this question as we take in the ethnicities of all of the members in all of the countries where we have congregations.
  • An ethnic Mormon is someone who is involved with Mormon society and culture, regardless of whether they are personally active in or even believe in the religious claims of the Church. Many active members of the Church are ethnic Mormons but often don't think of faith based communities in terms of ethnicity. Most ethnic Mormons who aren't participating Mormons are descended from Mormon ancestors, or were raised in areas with a large number of Mormons. Just as someone raised Jewish may be Orthodox, Conservative, Reform, or not religious at all, but still consider themselves Jewish, many people consider themselves Mormons even if they enter the building only for weddings and funerals.
