  • Sure, why not? It's a waste of money but so is anything you don't really need. If you're curious, go for it.
  • I really dont see the point, unless you are buying or selling a full breed dog.
  • I think money could be better spent on other things, truly.
  • I would say a waste of time and money unless you are showing.
  • I have heard about it. I don't see anything wrong with it. Although it is quite pointless unless you are using it for breeding.
  • I don't see the harm in being more knowledgeable. Are there prejudices among owners of certain breeds? Do they think they are more special because their dogs are purebreeds or something? :)
  • There was a consumer show on t.v. something like 60 minutes who sent applications for 4 dogs to one of these places to have their DNA done. They got back their answers a short time later. What the company didn't know is that it was for the same dog sent under different names and addresses. They got back 4 different answers and descriptions. Their findings were that it is a scam. I don't see much point to it. It's not like vets can't tell a lot without it as far as medical treatment is concerned.
