  • I think that they should look for part time employment if they are not disabled at least,to help their parents out,or to learn some more responsability.Personally,I think that I would get my kids jobs at 16 to start the training, and chores around the house as routine for younger kids, that's just me.:)*+++++*
  • Starting waaaay before 18, chores. Helping out with the housework...families are supposed to pitch in. Looking for a part-time job so they can become more self-sufficient with regard to their own spending money for clothes, cell phone expenses, car expenses, etc.
  • I think they should help around the house, dishe's, empty the garbage; keep their room clean and clean up after themselves and work a part time job.
  • As long as they are still in school it should stay the same, if they have a job pay rent but mom and dad should put it in a bank account for them for when they move out, even better if they don't know it till you give them a check!
  • i cant speak for your houshold. but i know that when i grew up you had a job by 16 and you were given a bill for 1 house expense. but along with that bought you more freedom in the house and every year you got more freedom till you left. as long as you were in school high school or college, you were allowed to stay provided you contributed to the house hold. i find this to be a good system. and it teaches so much.
  • I think they should make good grades, perform routine chores, and stay out of trouble. I also think higher education and career goals are more beneficial than entry level jobs and paying your parents bills.
