If you break your cell phone and then get a new cell phone would you recieve the text messages you missed on your old phone on your new phone if you keep your same number?

    I'm fairly sure, yeah. It works that way with email, I can't see why the wouldn't do that with texts. Only way to find out is to try out your new phone.

    I believe that theoretically you will, but it isn't an exact science. I'm fairly certain that the way it works is that the text message remains on the server until it has been delivered to a device, or at least until it thinks it has been delivered to a device.
