No I don't. But I did read somewhere (and I hope this won't offend you) that teenagers in Australia have the highest suicide rating. Know if this is true?
-
Only if my online Australian friend mentions it... which he hasn't. Possibly because he lives in Perth. Maybe there is less violence there...?
-
Sorry im from perth WA but violence is a big problem over here aye. i cant go to a party without the fear of getting bashed or jumped by abos or gangs and crews, what's it like in melbourne. it's more serious over there isn't it
-
No I've never heard anything about it. The only thing on the news regarding Australia is the awful Bush fires.
-
It has been covered by BBC World. Usually because of the racial element. But BBC World seems to give a disproportionally high coverage to all things Australian.
-
Not much at all but I'm sorry to hear about it now.
-
No, but i don't watch T.V, so that cuts out a lot of media. Didn't see anything in the world news headlines...but then again i did'nt look.
-
No, I have not. I am sure everyone gets news about some cities in the U.S., but we hear little about other countries, unless we go on line and look them up.
-
Is it true that the city that has the largest Greek population after Athens, is Melbourne?
-
Melbourne is escalating to a point of disgust, embarrassment, and concern for many whose teenagers and adult children frequent the city after hours ... many thanks + A Canadian/Australian living here for 5 days was killed outside a local hotel/bar. http://www.abc.net.au/news/stories/2009/07/16/2627127.htm?section=justin Another teenager bashed almost to death 15 July 09 at Hungry Jacks store ... http://news.ninemsn.com.au/national/838064/man-surrenders-to-police-after-bashing The list goes on and on for a beautiful city with so few a population ???? When the law is weak, the violent are strong to advance.
-
Nope. Never. Why, is it bad or getting worse? +5

Nope, here in Illinois (USA)I have heard nothing of the sort.
-
I live in Melbourne, FL. He he..but no I haven't really heard much about it. Just little things here and there.
-
I'm in the U.S., and don't recall ever hearing of violence there.
-
Not really no although there was a programme the other night about how drugs there are getting out of control
-
I am in the UK.. None at all, unless you were to go to the online source and look for news in that region. It is the unrepresented region in our media! Actually, the only Aussie news that we really hear would be related to Bush fires, British backpackers going missing/being killed, the odd royal visit (and then how much Aussies don't like the royal family). Even political news doesn't appear often.

No, i don't and i consider myself a person that watches the news consistently. It's really sad the american media these days. Always trying to distract away from important global issues with certain celebrity stories that are over-publicized.
