Yes i have been a few times,im lucky to live in a city where the PO ferry goes to Amsterdam everyday so i sometimes popped over for a couple of days....they call it the Dutch Dash:)

Yes, and it was fun to explore. I particularly like the canals. B&B was filling where some are chenzy. All of us shared a bathroom, not fun, but worked out okay since I was the only woman in the house. Saw the museums, and very friendly people. Not everyone spoke English and that was a drawback, because there was SO much to see. Ah, let's not forget the diamonds either.
