When i had a regular job with two fifteen minute breaks and a half hour lunch. I would buy the local paper and often have the crossword finished by the end of first break. Then I would buy the St. Louis paper that had two puzzles one was semi-local and the other was the New York Times. I would have the first one there finished by half way through lunch, and start on the New York Times. Then I would work on the Times for last break. It was rare that I had to keep it till the next day, but it did happen. So I would guess an hour or so. But I could work on the Sunday Times for over a week. Some folks thought I was a genius. I thought I was just stubborn.
