Can an OB/GYN tell when a woman is pregnant by giving a pelvic exam?

Do you mean whether she is pregnant or how far along? They can tell you are pregnant by a pelvic..as for how far along they use different methods for that too but I don't know that the pelvic itself would reveal that.

Yes, but not before the woman already knows, probably. Upon palpation, the uterus would feel slightly softer, and more ball-like. Unfortunately, women are not built identically, so a more ball-like uterus would be summarily dismissed by the physician until reading the results of an administered UA. +5

i have dated gal's who were pregnant.....the doc can use a speculum during a pelvic exam and notice that if your uterus is blue, that mean's that it is engorged with blood, because you are pregnant....it is called Chadwick's sign....but, most doc's would give you a pregnancy test to be absolutely sure........B
