Last friday when I went on a date with a customer I met at work. 25 minutes later I ended the evening. He started saying alot of racial comments that were pretty disturbing.

The last time I encountered ignorance? I teach high school in Thailand. I'm surrounded by it every second of every day!

Yesterday when I got rear ended in a fast food line and the lady who hit me just backed up, and drove off, taking time to slow down and give ME a dirty look. Ignorant fool. I didn't bother to do anything, there was no damage to my car, a little paint left from HER bumber is all.

As to those who are justifying their opinion based on the scripture in revelations The book of Mormon first off does not add to the bible. It enhances it. Secondly everyone who believes that scripture is referring to the bible itself needs to do some research on the history of the bible. They would be all shocked to find out that if that scripture were referring to the bibloe itserlf then about half of the new testemant would be thrown out as much of it was written after the book of revelations was written. So tell me all who believe that scripture refers to the bible do we throw out every book in the new testemant that was written after revelations? Anti Mormons are very clever people. They play on people's ignorance. They take things that are completely true about our faith and twist them around in such a way as to make it sound eveil and sinister then they add a few lies in there to seal the deal. Mormons believe in the same Jesus Christ that every other single Christian faith believes in. Just because we don't interpret scripture exactly the same was as some other churches do it doesn't make us a cult. Mormons do not blindly follow their Church leaders which is one of the characteristics of a cult. We are taught that it is ok to question authority if there is something we don't agree with. While the church hates to lose any of it's members It does not force anyone to remain a member who no longer wishes to be a member. People are free to have their names stricken from the records of the Church at any time they choose. We do hope they have a change of heart one day and come back but no one is forced to remain a member if they do not wish to. Just because we might believe some things about the Savior that seem unorthodox to others doe not make us a cult. People need to get a life and stop putting the cult label on every religion that does not 100% blindly agree with their interpretation of the bible.
