  • When you're not in a relationship,people tell you that you need to be in one.When you are finding love,they call you a whore.Either way,you're screwed.Seriously,I don't know.*+++++*
  • It is annoying, isn't it? I think they do it bcause they're unconsciously trying to enforce compliance to social norms. The odds are that these people are married (probably unhappily), so they're threatened by people who are making a different choice and taking their time to find a relationship. Don't let them get you down. If you are happy, that's what matters.
  • I guess they don't realize that some people can be perfectly happy without a significant other.
  • Take it as a complement. They might be surprised because they perceive you as a good catch. People that are not good "dating material" don't get asked alot why they aren't in a relationship because people already know . . . .
  • Because they have no idea how difficult it is for anyone to stay in a relationship with me.
  • umm i really don't know but it's really uncomfortable to me.. on the fourth someone asked me why wasn't i in a relationship ..someone random.... i didn't say anything i just smiled.. but inside i thought" cuz my ex fiance just left me 1 1/2 half ago" lolz
  • At social functions they may either be making small talk or wondering why a nice person like you hasn't been taken yet. People of the oppsite sex may be hoping they have a chance with you and want to make sure you'd be receptive to their advances. As for family, well, they ask you about every little thing so it's just habit.
  • They're nosey #1 and some people think you can't possibly be happy unless you're in a relationship. It's none of their business. All you can do is smile and say you're doing just fine, but thanks for asking.
