Stuck- past participle of to stick
OE Stick-> OE stician = OHG stehhan (prick, stab)-> Germ. stik- (pierce, be sharp) -> IE steig- = Gr. stizein (prick), stigme, stigma, (stigma) -> L. stigare from instigare (to instigate).
i can not stand when people call things "retarded." what are your thoughts on this?
