  • Get a fertilizer with low nitrogen and a higher phosphate and potash [ on a fertilizer bag there 3 numbers, the first is Nitrogen, the other two are Phosphate and Potash.] Add Good compost to the soil, or worm castings. You may also want to check the varieties of vegetables you have, some take longer than others. Also, check that the flowers on your plants are being visited by a pollinator [bees, flies, wasps, soemthing] if not your may need to use a feather or small paintbrush to pollinate.
  • use merical grow bloom booster once a week at half strengh. and ad bone meal about a foot away from the plants and three inches deep.
  • Every year my garden soil gets better, i do it by continously composting. Keep as many earthworms as you can. Worms will bite off your vegetables and pull them down in their hole if there isn't enough compost for them. Spinach is a good example of that. All my vegetable peelings are thrown in my garden and covered with mulch to keep the worms happy. Worm poop is probably the best fertilizer you can get. If you see plantain growing really big in your lawn, pull it up and you will see a worm in the roots.
