Some meat producers inject sea water to make the chicken tasty and heavier. Shouldn't that be disclosed?

HoboJoe, I have never heard of that! If this really happens, yes, it should be disclosed to the public. Usually the weight affects the price. Water will cause the bird to swell. Many will want to know about the sodium content. Thanks for bringing this forward. Do you have any links or is there somewhere we can find more about it? Or, something you just came across? +5

I think it is disclosed in a way, the US government has these labels for things based on their contents. http://www.fsis.usda.gov/PDF/Labeling_Requirements_Guide.pdf It is very sneaky in my opinion, it should be plainer to consumers.
