Should a hair stylist or barber always cut the clients hair exactly the way that the client asked for?

I used to be a hairdresser and I listened to them, but I always tried to tell them what would look great too.

No they should always cut it the way the client really wants it not the way they say they do. This is why hairstylist need to be physic.

I don't trust myself. I tell the barber,"whatever looks good." He always does a great job.
