I am taking prometrium to start my period. Does this cause mood swings?

As far is it goes with this kind of meds, your in for all different side effects. Not sayin your going to get them all:) but I see mainly that women complaint about it causing weight gain more than mood swings but all Rx s effect ur body in different ways. I m not a Dr just givin advice hope it helped some

YES!!! It is very common for prometrium to cause mood swings. I have PCOS and have to take prometrium every month to start my period. I warn my husband the week I take them because I tend to be so moody & tired. It makes sense that since it is a drug that starts a period hormonally it would start PMS symptoms. You are not alone.
