Yep. But then, I never wear brown shoes for dress. I have some brown ecco shoes but they are too casual to wear with a sport coat.

Absolutely fine to wear a black belt and shoes with brown slacks. If you have fair hair, and are wearing a shirt with yellow in it, the combination works very well. With a brown & black sportcoat, this works well, also.
