  • My general understanding is that frozen foods, if kept continuously frozen, are safe past the 'expiration date'. The issue is not safety, it's flavor/texture. You won't get sick from eating the food, but it might not taste very good. I recall hearing about a call to the Butterball Turkey Hotline, where someone in the late 1990s was contemplating eating a frozen turkey from the 1950s. They advised that it would be safe, but would taste awful.
  • they will probably be a bit dry, but they're perfectly safe to eat
  • Most likely only the flavor will be effected. Maybe dried out.
  • I'm notorious for eating old leftovers that have their own little neighborhood in my refrigerator. I'd think frozen food that has been left frozen is worth a try- - at least, I'd do it. But do whatever you're comfortable with. :) +5
  • I would not eat them. Bacteria can grow very slowly even in a frozen state.
  • If they remained frozen I would give it a try. They are giving a 'best' date not a dangerous date. The flavor may be more like your freezer but maybe not.
