If your camera's viewfinder has a diopetre setting, make sure that is adjusted to suit your eyesight.

Headaches can be caused by a blood sugar imbalance, inadequate hydration and muscular stress.

Always have some snack foods on hand such as fruit, nuts, muesli bars or some candies/sweets. It's really easy to get carried away for hours and hours when doing a photoshoot and forgetting to eat can easily be the cause of a headache.

Of course, have fresh water or fruit juice nearby. Fizzy drinks and soda, tea or coffee will make you pee more which is the last thing you need in the middle of a shoot.

Lastly, be mindful of how you're standing and to keep good posture. If you are always tilting your head to the side or having to hold the camera at a really odd height, you might get a bit sore and start a headache that way. Try and keep the camera on a tripod if that's possible, use a viewfinder magnifying attachment if you can get one for your camera or if you have a newer digital camera, use the rear viewfinder to compose your shots. All of those things will hopefully allow you to not have to bend your neck into shapes it's not supposed to be in for hours on end.

Another factor I forgot to mention is to dress appropriately for the environment. I personally get really warm and flustered when I'm surrounded by strobes, modelling lights and reflectors. On the other hand, if the area is really cold, wear a scarf and even a cap to keep your head and neck warm.
